Most immunizations can be obtained through a private physician's office or health clinic specializing in tropical diseases. The Yellow Fever vaccine is available only through an Official Yellow Fever Vaccination Center or a certified physician. Some County Health Departments provide immunizations for overseas travel.

Depending on your needs and tolerance for multiple injections, expect to schedule one to three appointments over a four to sixteen week period. Be aware that a primary immunization series (for which an adult booster is not sufficient) may extend beyond that time.

Age, pregnancy, allergies, and medical conditions may modify your use of these preventive medicines.

Please see CDC Travel Information Tropical South America for specific requirements.
