  • Brazilian Student visited Colorado State University (CSU)

    This team hosted Marcos Longo, a Graduate student of the University of São Paulo (USP), for a two-month scientific visit in 2003. The student worked closely with Ian Baker on the coupling of SiB3 with the Brazilian version of RAMS.

    He also worked under the supervision of Marek Uliasz on modeling and calculation of influence functions using RAMS Output.

2004  

  • Visit of CSU researchers to the University of São Paulo (USP)

    Drs. Denning and Ian Baker, both from the Colorado State University (CSU), worked with Drs. Maria Assunção F. Silva Dias, Pedro L. Silva Dias and Saulo Freitas on The coupling of SiB with the Brazilian version of RAMS, during a one-week visit to the University of São Paulo (USP), Brazil.

  • Upper air measurements

    US and Brazilian investigators offered training to Brazilian students and technicians on upper air measurements with balloons and on the radiosonde receiving station to track sondes launched in balloons every three hours for gas measurements.
