Traveling scenarios exhibit for middle-school children for the municipios of Belem and Santarem, with partial support from the Secretary of Education of the State of Para.
Scenarios workshops for local stakeholders and decision-makers in each study region.
2) formal education:
Incorporation of scenarios project into interdisciplinary graduate program (NAEA) at UFPa, including course lectures and seminars.
Short course on scenarios planning and modelling for the UFPa/NAEA doctoral program, offered once per year
3) professional development:
Support the PhD dissertations of 5 students (3 Brazilian): M. Vera Diaz (BU) Soy model; C. Stickler (Uflorida) Integrated model of Xingu headwaters; A. Technical training for Brazilian collaborators (Instituto Socioambiental, among others) in dynamic spatial modelling.
