  • Everaldo Telles
    Post-doc at the University of Brasilia (UnB). His research focuses on soil carbon and nutrient dynamics under different uses in sites of selective logging at FLONA Tapajós.

  • Lydia Olander
    Post-doc at the University of Brasilia. She worked with Telles on nutrient losses from canopies following logging. Results are being crossed with remotely sensed variables.

  • Zayra Prado
    Masters student in Chemistry at the University of Brasília. Her thesis focuses on the P fractionation of soil samples collected under different uses in sites of selective logging at the FLONA Tapajós.

    This LBA workshop was organized by Professors Mercedes Bustamante (UnB) and Jerry Melillo (WHRC). During the workshop there was a presentation by Greg Asner (Stanford University) regarding the results of the ND-10 group, former collaborative project of Asner and Bustamante. The workshop was held at the University of Brasília (UnB), November 2-4, 2003.
