Dataset Abstract:

In this study, I evaluated the nodulation and mycorrhizal infection of leguminous agroforestry species and of the secondary vegetation established in areas of degraded pasture and their responses to the application of fertilizers and amendments. The root system was evaluated in secondary vegetation, small tree plantation, pasture associated with desmodium, and a shaded greenhouse by soil samples collected with an auger in different depths and distances from the stem of the plant, and by destructive sampling of the plant in the dry and rainy seasons. The mycorrhizal infection was evaluated by the color method of PHILLIPS & HAYMAN adapted by CLAASSEN & ZASOSKI in which the roots were observed in a microscope with a ruled ocular of 100 microns. Data Quality Statement: The Data Center has determined that this data set has missing or incomplete data, metadata, or other documentation resulting in diminished usability of this product. User beware. Known problems: Supporting documentation is in Portuguese, data file header information and variable content in text fields are also in Portuguese. Data formats provided are not consistent with generally accepted U.S.A. data center conventions.
