Dataset Abstract:

This project studies the effect of green mulch applications on nitrogen dynamics beneath cupuaçu trees in agroforestry systems. The field component compares available nitrogen in 0-10 cm mineral soil layer beneath cupuaçu trees in which gliricidia had been applied. It compares two different agroforestry systems, ASI and ASCII. The greenhouse experiment compares nitrogen dynamics and decomposition of different combinations of cupuacu litter and gliricidia and inga. All soils were analyzed for mineral nitrogen, microbial biomass carbon and nitrogen. Data Quality Statement: The Data Center has determined that this data set has missing or incomplete data, metadata, or other documentation resulting in diminished usability of this product. User beware.
