Dataset Abstract:

IKONOS satellite imagery data have been requested from the NASA Scientific Data Purchase Program in support of research for the Large-scale Biosphere-Atmosphere Experiment in Amazonia (LBA). EOS-WEBSTER is providing these IKONOS data to LBA researchers and affiliated NASA researchers/employees in agreement with the Space Imaging End User License Agreement (EULA). Data are either currently available or will be made available when received for two types of LBA Ecology study sites: 1) Eddy Flux Tower Sites and 2) Land Use Field Sites.
At present IKONOS imagery have been acquired for 14 eddy-flux tower sites, with multiple dates of images several tower sites. In addition, 8 images have been cataloged for LBA-Ecology Field Study Sites, representing five field study sites. Additional field study site images are anticipated during the summer and fall 2001 acquisition period. The images will be shared among all LBA teams following the data-sharing guidelines of the EULA. Tower Sites Available: Jaru Tower Fazenda Nossa Senhora IBGE Campo Sujo Caxiuana Brasilia (east and west) Aguas Emendadas Manaus 1 Manaus 2 Santarem Pasture Santarem Kilo 83 Santarem Kilo 67 Sinop Mato Grosso Cerrado Sugarcane For the images available of the LBA-E Field Study Sites, please see the metadata entry for the IKONOS field study sites.
