Dataset Abstract:

This data set includes meteorological measurements from 1970 to May of 2001. These data are the property of the National Institute of Meteorology - INMET. Daily average values for rainfall, relative humidity, evapotranspiration, maximum and minimum temperature, pressure, wind direction and speed, solar radiation and visibility are reported. Over the course of data collection, values were collected from 3 different meteorological stations all within a radius of 8 km in Rio Branco, capital of Acre State in Brazil. From June of 1968 to 1974, the Station was located in the neighborhood Experimental Station. From December of 1974 to 1980 the station operated in a region called The Second District. Since May of 1980 the station has been operating at the Federal University of Acre ( 9.95 degrees S 67.86 degrees W).

This data set consists of mean daily meteorological data from the region of Rio Branco, Acre. The data were collected from three stations sequentially: from June of 1968 to 1974, the INMET station was located at Experimental Station, from December of 1974 to 1980 the station operated in a region called The Second District, and since May of 1980 the station has been operating at the Federal University of Acre.
